Many of you might scroll through and never take the time to learn who Rob Milne was. To you, he might seem like an ordinary guy, your everyday Joe. However, you would be mistaken. As our favourite quote from Doctor Who says, “In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important.” That’s precisely why we honoured him with a unique Celebration of Life that reflected just how remarkable he was.
And Rob was no exception.
To us, one of the best ways to commemorate a soul is by hosting a Celebration of Life (COL). We design each event to reflect the uniqueness of an incredible person. Friends, family, and colleagues come together to honour their legacy, highlight the meaningful work they’ve done, and celebrate the deep connections they’ve built. In one room, we see just how profoundly one life can touch many others.
In this case, that individual is our dear Rob Milne.
Who Was Rob Milne?
We are not going to lie—Rob started his life on the wrong foot, struggling with addiction, which led to homelessness.
Then, almost suddenly, he received a wake-up call—an epiphany that turned his life around 180 degrees, shifting his focus to family and health.
The road was hard, but he was determined to recover and to give back to those who had supported him.
His determination and grit were what most of us remember about him.
With his dedication to becoming the best version of himself, Rob managed to live a lifestyle he had never imagined.
Going vegan and spending as much time outdoors were not the sole reasons for his success as an entrepreneur and philanthropist.
He was actively involved in recovery communities, where he had vowed to help those who were on the wrong path become their better selves.
That is the kind of presence he had.
And that’s why we loved him.
How Did We Honour Rob’s Life?
In short, this Celebration of Life was more than a memorial. It was a portal into Rob’s life—the people he knew, the values he had, and the impact he left. Anyone who attended would agree that every corner of the venue reminded them of Rob Milne.
How did we honour his life? By including thoughtful elements that reflected how he lived—like a vegan menu and a cycling-powered smoothie station—we also showcased many personal touches, such as customized flower boxes with photos of Rob alongside his family, colleagues, and the charities he supported. Everything was green to reflect his deep love for nature.
A charity table displayed flyers, case studies, and photos that showed how he helped spread his message.
One of our favourite additions was the memory boxes. Guests could leave a handwritten message about their favourite moment with Rob.
We also made a tombstone and invited everyone to vote on the slogan to be engraved. This was our way of ensuring that the tribute felt shared and meaningful.
What a beautiful way to acknowledge a life.

It does not have to be a sad memorial event. Instead, we should honour their lives by showcasing their lifelong achievements.
